Over the years we've had many adventures. I proposed to Thanya back in 2023 and you can view this memory in the title of this website!

The Proposal

The Proposal

As we explored Thailand, we visited Krabi for a relaxing get away. While on a private charter hopping from island to island, we landed on Bamboo Island inhabited by little hermit crabs. While overlooking the ocean and the Sun falling behind the clouds I decided it was the best time to pop the question.

Also you’ll see in the video, I tried distracting her by saying there were dolphins in the distance!

About Us

About Us

Or atleast a little about how we first met....

Thanya and I first met on the 20th December 2019 in Cargo Bar in Sydney Darling Harbour. It was one of those moments where it was meant to be. Here's how I remember it.

It was a Friday and I was out in the city in the afternoon at a bowling club with my mates Nathan & Sisca where I was aboslutely killing it. It was one of my last couple bowls so I threw it down the lane as fast as I could and got a strike! But I also ripped my shirt under the armpit in the process! Usually I wouldn't be too concerned if I was going home straight after but I wasn't! That same day I was organised to meet up with my other mates to celebrate Andre's birthday and it was going to be a big one! The game finished at 6pm and I only had an hour before the birthday dinner. I knew I had to get a new shirt before seeing the boys for the big night so I quickly ran to Myer and bought myself the exact same shirt from M.J Bale. Plain white, linen button up with a small red cross on the back of the neck. I quickly ran back to Barangaroo where the dinner was and made it just in time! Andre was there early as usual, Perry was there just on time as always and Luke arrived fasionably late as per tradition. We ate, we drank and we celebrated. We cleaned ourselves up and hit the streets and because it was so close to Christmas, the streets were absolutely bustling with lively characters. We opted to go big or go home so jumped in a taxi and headed to Kings Cross to hit the clubs!

When we got there, it was absolutely packed! The first club we went to was full and we couldn't get in, we went around the corner to another club where the security was skeptical letting 4 tipsy lads in 5 days before Christmas. Despite this, they let us through and we went upstairs and the music was pumping! You could feel the holiday fever vibrating through the air, so in good fashion we joined the dance floor. Now for whatever reason i don't quite remember why we left or if we got kicked out but we ended up back at darling harbour. It was roughly 10.30pm and just a little too early to head home, we decided we'd survey the clubs along the wharf and if we didn't have any luck getting in anywhere then we should head home. Our first stop was Home Bar and the line stretched around like the snake in your old nokia, the wait time was like an hour to get in. We decided to keep walking and the same thing was the case for the other big club, Pontoon Bar. At this point we weren't in the mood to wait around in line and possibly not get let in so we agreed as the last ditch effort to go Cargo Bar otherwise it's a taxi home. Walking 5 mins down towards Barangaroo where we started the night, we could start feeling the booze wearing off and the chill of the night kicking in. It was all or nothing.

We arrive at our destination, where little did I know was exactly where I was meant to be at that exact moment... no line, just a doorman, the music still pumping and a clear line of sight to the bar. We walk in, and I spot her immediately. Thanya, just sitting there with her eyes glued to her phone. You could tell she didn't wanna be there but i couldn't take my eyes off her. She was and still is today the most beautiful girl in that club. I bee lined for the standing table infront of her group. The boys soon joined me after they got their drinks. Things start getting a little blurry here but Thanya's sister started chatting with us and started drinking with the boys! As the night went on, her sister talked with my mates while I kept Thanya (her older sister) busy. The rest of their group slowly left and went home but Thanya and I hit the dance floor. It was magic. We were dancing, Andre was drinking, Perry was staring at the DJ and Luke was doing Luke things. As the night came to a close, we decided we should exchange numbers and parted ways. Obviously that wasn't the last time I saw her as you're all aware. Roughly 5 years later and we're still here for each other as we always will be. Thanks for reading all this, and if you got this far then shoot me a message saying "pineapple" so I know who you are!!
